His car is seriously damaged when the henchmen crash into his car, but Wick fights off each of the men before making his way to Abram's office. Once there, John pours Abram and himself a drink. He chooses to spare Abram and offers him peace. Abram questions John as to whether or not he can actually find peace.John returns home to the still-unnamed dog he took at the end of the first movie. He calls Aurelio () to come pick up the car, which, while drivable, is a wreck. Still, Aurelio says he will fix it. The Monkey King: Havoc in Heaven's Palace

In 1940, Thurgood Marshall is a young lawyer for the NAACP who criss-crosses the country defending innocent African-Americans from unjust indictments in court. His latest case is in Bridgeport, Connecticut where an African-American chauffeur is accused of rape of a wealthy white society woman. To admit Marshall into the local Bar, insurance lawyer Sam Friedman is picked over his objections to do introductions in court. However, Friedman's commitment changes drastically when the racist judge forbids Marshall to speak in court, forcing Friedman to act as lead counsel. Continuing the story of Monkey King after a 500-year interlude, this installment tells the story of a traveling Monk Named Tang Seng (William Feng) who must enlist the aid of the Monkey King (Aaron Kwok) who is both his protector and novice on a journey of 36,000 miles to the Thunder Monastery to retrieve holy scriptures. As with most epic adventures-such as Homer's Odyssey-reaching the destination may or may not be the deciding factor between failure and success, rather the journey and the lessons learned by the protagonists about the nature of things and the nature of themselves becomes at least as important, if not more so. The Monkey King and Tang Seng are joined on their journey by two brothers, Sha Seng and Zhu Bajie, who primarily act as foils for the Monkey King and Tang Seng and provide comic relief for what would otherwise be a much darker story. The central conflict of the story revolves around the strife between Tang Seng and the Monkey King. They are allies and seek the same goal, but both think and "see" differently. Primarily, both see the "truth", but where Tang Seng sees the true nature of individuals or their "heart," the Monkey King sees through their disguises but evaluates them solely upon their actions. The dichotomy that frequently exists between one's true nature and their actions is lost to him. This sets up a secondary conflict of the movie, specifically concerning the main antagonist, the White Boned Demon (Li Gong). The White Boned Demon is a more complex villainess than the typical norm and very quickly begins to complicate the relationship between Tang Seng and the Monkey King. The Monkey King perceives an evil nature as being the primary motivation for her actions and following his nature, thinks that killing her is the appropriate response. Tang Seng, on the other hand, while recognizing the evil of her actions, also realizes that evil is not the animating principle behind them, rather it is the pain she feels for having been betrayed...

They send her to a speech therapist but see little improvement. A new therapist, Sheila, believes the stutter is caused by Merry's unconscious resentment of her mother. The Levovs don't believe this but since Merry likes Sheila, she is allowed to continue. An adolescent Merry and her father go camping. Dawn stays behind because one of their cows is about to give birth. As they are preparing to leave, Swede hands Merry a bouquet of wildflowers for her mother. Merry seems disturbed and asks Swede to kiss her. He does, on the cheek. Then she asks to be kissed like he kisses her mother. After the schools are closed, Lan unwittingly finds herself involved in the guerillas' mission to save novelist Mao Dun. That's how she meets Blackie Lau, the intrepid sharpshooter captain of the guerillas' Urban and Firearms unit. Taking notice of Lan's calm, smart nature, Blackie recruits her to join the guerillas. Worried for her daughter's safety, Lan's mother volunteers to take Lan's place as a courier, only to be arrested on the job. To save her mother, Lan is forced to turn to Wing, who now works for the Japanese.
